What am I not allowed to store in a storage container?
DO NOT store flammable materials, propane tanks, weapons, fireworks, poison, illegal or stolen items, hazardous waste of any sort or dangerous materials, or materials that may affect others by emitting gases, and perishable goods. Gasoline and oil should be drained from any equipment before storage.
When and how can I request to rent a container?
Based on availability you can rent a container and store your items right away, just fill out the RENT NOW form on our website or give us a call at (403) 200-7203. We will register you on our system with a gate access pin and provide you with a container number.
Rental term and refund policy?
The minimum rental term is Three (3) months . There are NO refunds if you move out before the agreed rental term expires.
Do you offer long-term contracts?
Yes. Special rates are available for customers wishing to rent on a 6-month or 12-month basis. Payment for the full term must be paid in advance and is non-refundable.
Is there a deposit required?
No, not at this time.
When can I access my unit?
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, year round.
Who can access my unit?
Only you can access your unit. You provide the lock and you keep the key, or we can supply the lock for a fee.
What kind of security do you have?
The site is completely secured with fencing, berm and perimeter lighting and video surveillance throughout. Access can only be gained through the main gate which has an alarm system and can be only accessed with our keypad entry system which records all entry and exits onto the premises.
Securing your container
All our 20′ containers are fitted with lock boxes. The design of the lock boxes keeps your padlocks out of view and inaccessible to lock cutters and it is almost impossible to break through these. The D-Shaped Security Padlock is inexpensive, easy-to-install way to secure your storage container and can be bought online or rented from the office.
Do I need insurance?
Yes. Please contact your insurance provider to find out what your policy covers and purchase extra coverage for your belongings.
Do you offer insurance?
No. It is up to you to provide appropriate insurance coverage and to determine the suitability of the space for the contents.
How do I give my notice to vacate?
Let us know by phone or send us a quick email. A minimum of two (2) weeks’ notice is required. If you are moving out of a container storage unit, be sure to remove the lock and leave it clean for the next customer.
Does it freeze inside the storage container?
There is no means of temperature control in the container it is up to you to determent what is swatch for current temperatures.
At extreme temperatures this is possible. Consider though, that almost everything, that you store here usually gets shipped in the same containers over the ocean under any weather conditions and at any time of the year. Also the transport to the shop, from which you have purchased your goods is arranged with a truck that isn’t heated!
Can my things get wet?
The storage containers are completely water proof.
Protecting your items
Can I park my vehicle in a container?
Yes, however it is necessary to empty the fuel tank and disconnect the battery in order to fulfil the insurance requirements. We will also allow vintage cars and motorcycles, they fit very well.
Tarps or plastic must be placed to protect wood floors.
What size of container do I need?
The contents of a three-bedroom house (furniture, televisions, beds, boxes etc.) will normally fit inside a 20ft container, For Larger Homes a 40ft container would be needed.
Will my unit be safe?
Unfortunately there are no guarantees but we provide an electronic gate restricting access only to those with an authorized access pin. Extensive video surveillance is strategically positioned throughout the compound and recording 24 hours a day. Please feel free to discuss these security measures with us.
